Reiki Australia warmly welcomes Reiki folk, professional treatment practitioners, Masters, individuals and organisations who have an interest in Reiki as a spiritual practice and healing art.

How to join

Joining Reiki Australia is simple!

1.

Decide which membership category you wish to join.

2.

Read our Code of Ethics (all applicants) as well as our Code of Professional Conduct if you plan to join in Reiki Practitioner category.

3.

Your signature on the application form confirms your agreement to abide by the relevant Codes.

4.

A non-refundable, administrative fee of $40 applies to new applications. Please note that you will need to include copies of your Reiki certificates with your application. For our professional categories, these certificates need to be JP certified.

Note for all Applicants: You need to complete the application process within 2 months. If you take longer than that, your application will be closed and you would need to begin the process again.

Important Note for Reiki Master/Teacher and Reiki Practitioner Applicants:
You will be notified of your membership number after we receive payment on your invoice so that you can apply for insurance cover. Once you receive your insurance policy, please post or fax to us a copy of the Certificate of Currency so we can finalise and fully activate your membership.

Membership Categories and Requirements

For anyone who has been initiated at any level of Reiki (only Branches/ styles of Reiki originating from Mikao Usui) who use it non-professionally, i.e. people who use their Reiki on friends and family, and/or as a volunteer. Non-professional category – not suitable for people who have a public practice.

For entry level professionals. 

Requirements: 

  • Treatment logs over the first 12 months
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Current  CPR certificate 
  • Current First Aid certificate

For experienced professionals with a public profile teaching practice. 

Requirements: 

  • Professional Indemnity insurance 
  • Current CPR certificate 
  • First Aid is highly recommended

For experienced professionals with a public profile teaching practice, who are also practitioners.

Requirements: 

  • Professional Indemnity insurance 
  • Current CPR certificate 
  • First Aid is highly recommended

This membership category recognises a professional member of Reiki Australia (Practitioner or Reiki Teacher or Combined and Master level) for adhering to a higher standard of practice. 

Requirements: 

  • Treatment logs over the first 12 months
  • Current Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Current CPR certificate 
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Completion of Unit 1 of Professional Development for Reiki Treatment is required for ARTP membership, unless qualified and currently working in another Health Training Package modality

This membership category recognises a professional member of Reiki Australia for adhering to a higher standard of practice. 

Requirements: 

  • Treatment logs over the first 12 months
  • Current Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Current CPR certificate 
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Completion of Unit 1 of Professional Development for Reiki Treatment is required for ARTP membership, unless qualified and currently working in another Health Training Package modality

Select Associate Members are invited as an acknowledgement of contribution to Reiki Australia.

Associate level – Free each year (If member wishes to take up a higher level membership, they must pay the difference [less Associate fee]).

Requirements: Must meet normal requirements. Learn more.

Select Members are invited as an acknowledgement of the highest level of contribution to Reiki Australia.

No fee for life.

Requirements: Any category membership, but must still meet the requirements. Learn More.

Once you have completed your Membership Application Process to let us know which Category you would like to join in, you will be invoiced for the correct amount by our Membership Coordinator.

CPD - Continued Professional Development

In order to continue to develop your Reiki Practice, Members are offered ways to gain professional training and activities that will grow your business. Just as with any professional association, CPD Points are required for re-registration each year.
